21-year-old James Chaney is buried in a remote cemetery outside his hometown of Meridian. 
He was not permitted to be buried in the town because it was said he brought "disgrace" on it.  On many occasions when Project HIP-HOP visited his grave, we found signs that it had been vandalized – it was shot at, the eternal flame broken and the tombstone repeatedly knocked over.
