Chapter 11: Student Activity

Do you think that in times of war national security should take precedence over civil liberties and the Bill of Rights?  What about in times of peace? 

Can you think of current situations that parallel the civil liberties violations that took place during World War II and the Red Scare?  Or do you think we have learned from our past mistakes?
